What is the Quality Early Learning Opportunity Initiative?

The New Hampshire Community Action Association received a grant from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services to implement the Quality Early Learning Opportunity Initiative, effective July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2009.  

The Quality Early Learning Opportunity initiative is a child care scholarship program serving families whose total household income exceeds New Hampshire State guidelines for child care benefits. In order to qualify, a family’s total gross income must fall within 190% to 250% of the federal poverty level. 

If determined eligible, reimbursement will be calculated and paid in daily increments to the child care provider as follows:

How many scholarship opportunities are available?
The number of scholarship opportunities statewide is limited. Applications are being taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.
